PESONET

PESONet (Philippine EFT System and Operations Network) is a digital fund transfer service that allows individuals, businesses, and government agencies to send money from one bank or e-money issuer to another.

It is operated under the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ National Retail Payment System (NRPS) and serves as a modern electronic alternative to checks. Transfers are processed in batches (not in real time), making it ideal for higher-value or bulk transactions that do not require instant crediting.

Key Features of PESONet

  • Batch Processing: Fund transfers are grouped and cleared at intervals within the banking day.

  • Inclusive Platform: Supports payments across banks, e-money issuers, businesses, and government.

  • No Minimum or Maximum Limit: PESONet itself does not impose limits; your provider may set per-transaction or daily caps.

  • Flexible Use Cases: Suitable for individuals, businesses, and government disbursements.

  • Secure & Regulated: Overseen by the BSP to ensure safe and efficient transfers.

When to Use PESONet

Choose PESONet for payments that don’t need to be credited instantly, such as:

Business-to-Business (B2B): Supplier payments and settlements

Business-to-Person (B2P): Payroll and reimbursements

Person-to-Business (P2B): Payments to merchants or billers (when supported)

Government Payments (P2G / G2P / G2G): Taxes, fees, subsidies, and disbursements

PESONet Batch Cycles

There are three (3) settlement windows by which banks operate. Your bank will be advising you of their respective cut offs in each window. Your beneficiary will typically receive the funds no later than the next settlement cycle.

It is important that if you want your payment beneficiary to receive at a certain time, you should send your payment to your bank within the cut off prescribed by your bank.

Timing & Cut-offs

  • Before cut-off: Credited within the same banking day

  • After cut-off, weekends, or holidays: Credited on the next banking day
(Exact cut-off times vary per bank or e-money issuer.)
